We customarily invite feedback after rituals and other activities. This helps us to learn what works and what doesn't, improving our effectiveness over time. Sometimes people also jot down their recollections in a Book of Shadows, blog, or other venue. Here we've gathered some brief comments on activities and experiences. For content samples, see "Activities."
Samhain 2005
Janet M: "I had a great time, good friends, good food, good ritual, cluebat from the universe, that sort of thing."
When asked if I'd been handed the cluebat or hit with it, I answered, "[The Universe] kind of hit me over the head with [the cluebat] (synchronous Tarot readings and Free Will Astrology horoscopes). Oh, well. *grin* It could be worse. It was at least a fairly encouraging cluebat."
Samhain 2006
Janet M: "Ritual stuff: 'New perspectives, second chances' -- the story of Persephone, told first from Demeter's perspective ('my daughter is lost to me') and then, after the clock change, at 1:00 again, from Hades' ('my wife is returned to me'). I took the part of Persephone, to R's Demeter and Sir Malachite's Hades. I asked, and have been reassured that I did an acceptablejob."
* * * Lady Raspberry: On several different occasions, we have done paired rituals, including examples like this where the rituals incorporated a time change. I've found that doing two rituals takes a lot of energy, but when the theme matches the situation, it can pick up a really big push.
